Introduction
Shaws Wood is a Residential Care Home for physically frail elderly and those with dementia, located in a quiet, pleasant residential area of Strood, in Medway, Kent. It has purpose-built living space for 36 people in well-proportioned single rooms over two floors, with a choice of dining facilities and social space.
It is our mission to provide the highest quality of care to those entrusted to our home. Moving into a Care Home from the comfort of a family home is a big step and can be a worrying time for family and the elderly alike. We want to work together with individuals, relatives and friends to ensure the move is as smooth as possible. Our residents' physical, mental and spiritual needs are assessed and cared for individually in an environment with a family feel whilst ensuring that we respect the dignity and privacy of each resident, and provide choice wherever we can.
We are committed to the development and welfare of our staff and to continually update the training given to them. We see the care of our staff as an important part of making sure we have a happy home environment for our residents to live in.
We encourage family and friends to join us and together give our older generation the comfort, fulfilment and happy life they deserve.
